“Let them praise His Name with the dance…” Psalm 149:3

Our Mission and Purpose

We are a dance company that seeks to worship and glorify the Lord through dance. “Set Apart Girls” is not about being set apart from others because of skill or talent. Our goal is to be set apart in our hearts for Jesus, dancing for Him alone because He is Worthy!

As we work to carry out this ultimate purpose and focus, we have some main values that we put serious emphasis on.

  1. We want dancers to grow in their walk with the Lord as well as grow in their skill as dancers. It is important to us to help the girls become better dancers, but just as important to help them grow in their love for the Lord. We want our dancers to not only learn dance moves and improve their technique, but to come to know Jesus better through this experience of dance, keeping the focus on Him through every part of class. Our teachers are examples to the students of what this walk looks like; nobody can lead others somewhere they have never been themselves. So, we are serious about only allowing teachers who not only can teach dance, but who can lead the girls in their walk with the Lord.
  2. We want to encourage teamwork and unity among the students. We don’t want to foster feelings of pride or jealousy among dancers, but rather encourage humility and helping each other.
  3. We want to use our dance to minister and reach out to others. Right now, our main outreach as Set Apart Girls is going to nursing homes to do performances and pray for the residents. This gift of dance is a wonderful and impactful way to reach out to those who need the hope of Jesus, and we are praying about implementing more ways of using dance for outreach.

About our Teachers…

Jordan Cvar

I’m Jordan, and I have always loved to dance. For most of my younger years I was able to attend worship dance classes in Colorado, and I loved it! I would go home, practice, and then try to choreograph my own worship dances for myself and my younger sisters. When my family and I moved to Cheyenne, though, we couldn’t find any worship dance companies in the area. So when I graduated from high school in 2019, I decided to start my own.

I love being able to teach these girls to dance for Jesus. It is so encouraging to see them grow in their love for Jesus as they also grow in their dancing! Starting and continuing this dance group has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life, and God has been so faithful through it all! I am so excited to see how He continues to work in all of these girls’ hearts as they continue to dance for Him!

Elisha Cvar

(November 2023) Hello! I’m Elisha, Jordan’s younger sister. I have always loved worship dance, from when I romped around as a 5 year old, to being a part of Set Apart Girls for the past four years! It has been so wonderful to watch our girls grow and improve, and to see their faces light up as they dance wholeheartedly for Jesus! I’m really excited to be teaching dance classes, and can’t wait to see what God is going to do in all of our lives this year!

Joelle Cvar

(July 2025) Hi! My name is Joelle, and I am so excited to start teaching dance this semester! Like my sisters, I have loved dancing from an early age; I’ve never really had a moment when dance did not play a part in my life! As I have grown up, dancing for Jesus has really taught me that it’s not all about me, but this gift is for God and to His glory. To dance for my Creator, and to make Him happy brings meaning and purpose to my life. Not only have I grown to love Jesus through dance, but I am beginning to scratch the surface of His love for me and for everybody. As Set Apart Girls goes on, my hope is that each individual girl can personally know how much God loves them, and that giving their dance to Him becomes a joy!

Bethany Martin

(November 2025) Hello! I’m Bethany. I’ve been dancing since I was a little girl. From the company Jordan and her sisters were a part of, to dancing with my sister at home, worship dance has always been a part of my life. In 2021, we found Set Apart where I’ve stayed until now – dancing, helping with classes, and now teaching!

There is something about pouring out your heart and losing yourself in the awe of your Creator that I’ve rarely felt outside of worship dance. When you express your heart’s cry as words begin to fail you, I’ve found an understanding of just how much I can truly cast my cares on Him. My desire is that the girls I teach will learn how much God cares for each one of them personally and that He will direct them as they learn to trust Him with their lives.

Naomi Mummert

(June 2026) Hi, I’m Naomi! I’ve loved dance for as long as I can remember, and have a desire to teach ballet and help girls grow in their gifts as dancers. I have studied ballet for over ten years, and pointe for four years. As part of my dance journey, I had the opportunity to study ballet for three years at the School of Classical Ballet and Dance (SCBD) in Texas, a studio dedicated to glorifying God through dance. In 2025, I discovered Set Apart Girls and the joy of worship dance.

Dance is a wonderful way to glorify God, since He’s the One who made us and gave us the ability to move and dance. It is so easy to dance only for ourselves, but we need to remember that the only reason we can do anything is because of God’s grace. I pray that the girls I have the privilege of teaching may be strengthened both physically and spiritually.
